Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

labour party

finds documents containing 'labour' or 'party'

labour or party

same as above

labour and party

finds documents containing both 'labour' and 'party'

labour not party

finds documents containing 'labour' but not 'party'

(labour not party) and FLP

finds documents containing 'FLP', plus 'labour' but not 'party'

labour*

finds documents containing words starting with 'labour'
